
Mizzou Softball Opens Season at NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic

The Tigers compete against four teams: Penn State, Oregon, Tennessee State and Liberty, as the first pitch of the 2026 season is set for 9 a.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 6
Mizzou softball kicks off its 2026 campaign with the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic starting Friday, Feb. 6 through Sunday, Feb. 8 in Clearwater, Fla.
The 23rd edition of the event takes place at the Eddie C. Moore Complex. Over the four-days, 18 programs will be showcased with 46 games on the schedule.
MU takes on one team from the 2025 Women's College World Series (WCWS) with its second game against Oregon. Other Power Four conference opponents include Penn State (season opener) and BYU.
The Tigers will also face Tennessee State and Liberty during the NFCA Leadoff Classic.
All games will be streamed live (free) on the GameChanger App with select contests to be broadcast on the MLB Network.
Tickets will be available via online purchase only, and can be purchased on the tournament central page.

NEXT UP
- Mizzou commences its fall campaign by hosting Missouri State on Friday (Sept. 27) at the Mizzou Softball Stadium. First pitch is set for 7 p.m., CT for the fall opener.
