COLUMBIA, Mo. – The regular season is upon us as Mizzou hit the Kadlec Practice Fields for one of its last full-pads practices before Saturday's season opening game against Missouri State. All of the work that the Tigers have put in since the beginning of #MIZCAMP17 is being put into game situations, and that shift in intensity has been met with great enthusiasm by the players.

Mizzou appears poised to use the shortcomings of prior seasons as fuel to create success in the coming season, as redshirt-senior DE Jordan Harold explains.
"We're excited," Harold said. "There's a lot more intensity, especially this week. We finally get to go against someone else, and hit them, instead of hitting each other. There is a lot more intensity and a lot more focus. We've got a big chip on our shoulder. We want it all. That stays with us and that keeps us going."
That excitement can be felt across all aspects of the team. From offense, to defense and special teams, the idea of finally having an opponent to showcase the 2017 playbook is enough to get senior WR J'Mon Moore enthusiastic.
"It's great," Moore said. "It's been a long offseason of working. I've been working for a long time. I've been counting down to this day, this weekend for a long time. I just cant wait to go out there and compete. To be the best. Everyone has the same goal. We want to win. We want to compete. And we're doing so at a pretty high level."
As the anticipation levels continue to rise, redshirt junior OL Kevin Pendleton believes that this team is ready to deliver on the field with a product that everyone can be proud of.
"We feel like we owe something," Pendleton said. "We have something to prove. We definitely have a chip on our shoulder. We're ready to get out and show the world what we can do."
