#MIZCamp - August 11 - University of Missouri Athletics

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Tuesday morning featured a physical #MIZCamp practice at the Mizzou Athletics Training Complex (MATC) on the sixth day of fall camp and second in full pads. All three facets enjoyed success during high-energy situations. The offense moved the ball well in spurts while the defense held its own at other times and specialists were able to convert when their number was called. Below are some highlights from Tuesday's session:

To wrap up the 11-on-11 team session, DE Charles Harris and LB Donavin Newsom combined to make a stop on 3^rd-and-short, igniting a spirited response from the entire defense.
The quarterbacks group displayed accuracy throughout practice. QB Maty Mauk found WR DeSean Blair with a perfectly-placed back shoulder throw early on. Mauk consistently fit the ball into tight spaces for his receivers the entire practice.
K Andrew Baggett connected on field goals from 47 and 37 yards out with plenty of room to spare during the live special teams portion. K Nick Coffman was also accurate on multiple kicks.
DE Nate Howard offered a glimpse of the future of #DLineZou. He dominated 1-on-1 drills by using an onslaught of moves to sack the replica quarterback.
TB Ish Witter closed the red zone drill with a double-move, stutter-step as he caught a TD pass from QB Eddie Printz in the middle of the end zone. Witter also showed patience and speed during a 20-yard gain up the middle on a draw play.
WR Eric Laurent showed strong hands in recording multiple receptions despite close coverage from the opposition.
TB Russell Hansbrough dove to catch a TD pass from QB Corbin Berkstresser during the 1-on-1 red zone session.
OL Alec Abeln had an impressive showing during the 1-on-1 offensive vs. defensive line portion.
