Driving Directions & Parking

Note: The online campus map can provide directions to any major building on campus.

From the East:
Take Interstate 70 West to the Highway 63 exit, make a left. Take Highway 63 South to the Stadium Boulevard exit, make a right. Take Stadium Boulevard to Maryland Avenue, make a right. Take Maryland Avenue to Rollins Street, make a left. Take Rollins Street to fifth Street, make a right. Take fifth Street to Conley Avenue, make a right. The Turner Avenue Parking Garage is on your right at the first stop sign, and the Reynolds Alumni and Visitor Center is located on your right at the second stop sign.

From the West:

Take Rollins Street to fifth Street, make a right. Take fifth Street to Conley Avenue, make a right. The Turner Avenue Parking Garage is on your right at the first stop sign, and the Reynolds Alumni and Visitor Center is located on your right at the second stop sign.

Parking

Visitor permits are available at the Parking & Transportation Office located on level 2 of the Turner Avenue Parking Garage. There are also metered spaces throughout campus. Contact either Parking & Transportation (573) 882-4568 or the Office of Visitor Relations (800) 856-2181 or (573) 882-6333 to get detailed information regarding parking locations. Please bring coins.

Temporary Parking Permits: Are available for $2 per day or $6 per week. Permits can be purchased at the Parking Office, Turner Ave. Garage Level 2. Hours: M-F 7:30am to 5pm.

Turner Avenue Garage: Enter the garage from Conley Ave. or Turner Ave. (east entrance). You will be on the 3rd level which is metered for visitor parking. Each visitor space is numbered. If the space does not have a number then it is a reserved space requiring a permit. Park in any numbered space and note the number. Fee machines are located at each stair tower. At the machine, 1) enter the space number where you parked; 2) insert nickels, dimes, quarters for the amount of time you wish; 3) press the green button; 4) take the receipt which shows the space number, amount paid, and time paid for; and 5) Keep this receipt.

Hitt Street Visitor Lot: Enter from Hitt Street near Brady Commons. 10 hour meters are available for $.50 per hour. Temporary/visitor permits are not valid in this lot. An attendant is available during the day to assist with directions to various buildings.

Union Visitor Lot: Located directly east of Memorial Union. Enter from University Ave. 10 1-hour meters are available for $.50 per hour. Temporary/visitor permits are not valid in this lot.

University Avenue Garage TOP LEVEL: Located east of Memorial Union. Enter from University Ave. On the very top level are public meters for $.50 per hour. If there is not a meter in front of the space then it requires a permit.

Staff Parking Lots: Restricted between 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, but are open after 5pm and on weekends. Some spaces within lots are restricted at all times. Some lots near Faurot Field are restricted on home football game weekends. Please read the signs at lot entrances and any signs at specific spaces. Maryland Avenue and Hitt North Garages, and CG15 are enforced 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Residence Hall Lots: Restricted at all times and require an assigned parking permit for the lot. Violators may be ticketed and/or towed. For more information contact Parking & Transportation Services at 882-4568.

Rental Cars

Columbia Transit Spirit Bus

Each year Columbia Transit offers a shuttle service to and from Faurot Field for the home football games. The Spirit Bus is a great way to avoid traffic jams. Visit the City of Columbia’s website for details.
