COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou volleyball senior Brittney Brimmage (East St. Louis, Ill.) was named to the COBRA Magazine All-National Third Team, as announced by the monthly publication on Monday (Dec. 26). This marks the second-straight season that Brimmage has landed on the All-National Third Team. COBRA Magazine's purpose is to celebrate the success of volleyball players of African as well as Samoan and Tongan descent in hopes of encouraging young girls of those ethnic groups across the country to pursue the sport.

Brimmage was an All-Third Team honoree after leading the Tigers in hitting (.352) while tallying 300 kills and 98 total blocks while helping guide the Tigers to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament and 10th in 12 seasons under the direction of Wayne and Susan Kreklow. Brimmage was named Big 12 Player of the Week once and was the Middle Tennessee Blue Raider Bash MVP last season as she was one of the Big 12's most imposing middle hitters.
