COLUMBIA, Mo. - With a national-best 25-0 record and as one of just two unbeaten teams nationally, the Mizzou volleyball program was again a big mover in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 poll on Monday, moving up four spots to No. 7 nationally. The No. 7 rank for the Tigers matches the best in program history - the 2005 team spent three weeks ranked at No. 7. Mizzou is one of three SEC teams ranked this week, joining No. 5 Florida and No. 19 Kentucky.

Mizzou has climbed from unranked on Sept. 30 to No. 7 nationally in less than a month as it has been the biggest mover up the poll this month. The Tigers join Colorado State as one of just two unbeaten teams nationally and the Tigers control their own destiny in the SEC Championship race, finishing the first half of league play at a perfect 9-0, including a win over defending champion No. 5 Florida.

The seventh-ranked Tigers will return home this weekend for a 6:30 p.m. match Friday vs. Ole Miss before squaring off against No. 19 Kentucky in a top-20 showdown on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. For all the latest on Mizzou volleyball, stay tuned to MUTigers.com and follow the team on twitter @MizzouVB.
