COLUMBIA, Mo. - Fresh off of one of its biggest wins in program history over second-ranked Florida, the Mizzou volleyball team (23-0, 7-0 SEC) moved up another seven spots in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-25 Poll to No. 11 on Monday (Oct. 21). The No. 11 rank is the highest that Mizzou has been in the coaches poll since the final week of the 2005 season when the team checked in at No. 8 nationally.

In all, the Tigers were outside of the top 25 three weeks ago and have since moved up to No. 11 since first entering the rankings on Oct. 7. They jumped seven spots last week from 25 to 18 and moved up another seven spots today to No. 11 this week as they have been the biggest movers nationally in that span. The Tigers lead the NCAA in wins with a perfect 23-0 record and are one of just two unbeaten teams nationally, joining Colorado State. The Tigers also are alone atop the SEC standings at a perfect 7-0, their best conference start in program history. Mizzou also leads the nation in hitting at .374.

The Tigers will return to the road this weekend as they face tough road tests at LSU and Texas A&M, teams that were picked to win the SEC West this season by the league's coaches. For all the latest on Mizzou volleyball, stay tuned to MUTigers.com and follow the team on twitter @MizzouVB.
