COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou volleyball team made the biggest move of any team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll as it climbed seven spots to 18th as the poll was released Monday (Oct. 14). The rank for the Tigers, who own a national-best 21-0 record and remain as one of two unbeaten teams nationally, is the team's highest since Oct. 23, 2006, when the team ranked 16th nationally. The Tigers are one of three SEC teams in the poll, joining No. 14 Kentucky and No. 2 Florida. The Tigers will battle the second-ranked Gators on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hearnes Center.

Additionally, Mizzou checks in at No. 12 nationally in the NCAA RPI rankings, the second-best among SEC schools, trailing only third-ranked Florida. As a team, Mizzou leads the nation in hitting percentage (.378), is second in assists (14.33), third in kills (15.13) and is the only team in the nation to rank in the top five in each of those statistical categories. Mizzou also ranks seventh nationally in service aces (1.81) and is 25th in blocks (2.73) while leading the country with 21 wins.

Mizzou hosts Georgia at 6:30 p.m. Friday before hosting second-ranked Florida in what is shaping up to be a huge match at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission to that match is just $1 and it is free with a ticket stub from Mizzou's football game vs. Florida as the Tigers look to `Bust the House' in hopes of setting a new attendance record.
