Aug. 3, 2005
The University of Missouri volleyball team and staff visited China in May 2005. Within their week-long journey, the team played exhibition matches versus BeiHang University and Beijing University and provided goodwill along with mutual exchanges of volleyball technique and training.
The team also went on several sight-seeing tours along the way with stops at Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, the Summer Palace and others.
Assistant Coach Chen Feng led this year's group, providing liaison duties and language translation. The Missouri Volleyball squad also went on a China-goodwill tour in 2001. Representatives from Southeast University in China came to visit Missouri in 2002.
More from this trip will be posted soon.
