COLUMBIA, Mo. - Fresh off of its historic 2013 season, the SEC Champion Mizzou volleyball team will be recognized at the Missouri State Capitol on Monday (Feb. 24) at 4 p.m. The team is scheduled to arrive at the State Capitol at 3:30 p.m. before being recognized in front of the State government officials at 4 p.m.

Jenny Dewar of the Mizzou strategic communication staff will run point on any interview requests for student-athletes/coaches while at the Capitol on Monday.

"This is obviously a big deal for our program," head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "I really felt that with the success that we had this season, we captured the heart of our state for a couple of months. It was evident in the support that we saw from our community and for us to asked to be recognized by the folks in Jefferson City is really humbling. I think it will be a great experience for our kids."
