COLUMBIA, Mo. - After tremendous senior seasons that saw both earn American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First Team All-America status, Molly Kreklow (Delano, Minn.) and Lisa Henning (Blue Springs, Mo.) have been selected by the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame to receive a Special Achievement Award (SAA) at this year's enshrinement. Kreklow and Henning led the Mizzou volleyball team to its best season in program history, culminating with a perfect 34-0 regular season and Missouri's first SEC Championship in any sport. The volleyball duo will be joined by Mizzou football unanimous All-American Michael Sam, who will also receive an SAA at the enshrinement. The annual event will take place on Jan. 26 in Springfield, Mo.

Kreklow and Henning leave the Mizzou volleyball program to pursue professional opportunities and graduate as all-time greats. Kreklow, the SEC Player of the Year, was a unanimous All-SEC and AVCA All-Southeast Region selection and led the nation in assists per set during her senior season. She quarterbacked a Mizzou offense that ranked first nationally in hitting, kills and assists. The team's .356 attack percentage is a new school record. In her four years as the cornerstone of the Tiger offense, she guided Mizzou to the program's second-best four-year attack percentage while playing in five NCAA Tournament matches, advancing as far as the Sweet 16 in 2010. She is the second Tiger setter to be named an AVCA First Team All-American, both coming under the direction of head coach Wayne Kreklow as Mizzou continues its long line of successful setters.

Henning was sensational, as well, in 2013 and became the third Tiger ever to earn AVCA First Team All-America honors and the first outside hitter to ever do so. She wrapped up her career as the only Tiger to be named to the AVCA All-America teams in three consecutive seasons and she is the program's all-time career kills and points leader. She was a unanimous pick to the All-SEC team and was an AVCA All-Region pick for the third consecutive season. She just missed going over the 500-kill mark for the third consecutive season and reset her career-high with a .330 attack percentage.
