Mizzou Volleyball finished the Fall 2004 semester with a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.27, which is the best in the program's history. MU also had seven of its 12 players named to the honor roll. The 3.27 mark was the fourth best among the 20 sports teams at Missouri.

"We've had several accomplishments on the court this season, but this one is more important, " Head Coach Susan Kreklow said. "It is great to see the student-athletes succeed in the classroom, as well as on the court. They put a lot of work into what they do both in school and in volleyball and we are very proud of what our team has accomplished."

Last month, seven Tigers were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team, which was a school record and tied for the most selections of any school in the conference.

Missouri finished the season with a 20-9 overall record and advanced to its fifth-consecutive NCAA Tournament, where it hosted First and Second Round matches for the first time in school history. The Tigers defeated Arkansas in the opening round of the tournament, picking up their second-ever postseason win.
