Tennis Closes Fall Play at Midwest Blast

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou tennis team closes out fall competition this weekend as it competes in the Midwest Blast Nov. 1-3 in Champaign, Ill.

The Tigers will square off against Purdue, Wake Forest and host Illinois in the hidden dual format. Missouri opens against Illinois and Wake Forest in doubles and Wake Forest in singles on Friday. The Tigers then face Purdue in doubles and Illinois in singles on Saturday, and close out the competition Sunday against Wake Forest in singles. There is no team scoring for the event.

The matchups against Wake Forest are a preview of Mizzou's dual with the Demon Deacons on Feb. 2, 2014 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

9 a.m. - Missouri vs. Illinois / Purdue vs. Wake Forest (Doubles)
10 a.m. - Missouri vs. Purdue (Singles)
3:30 p.m. - Missouri vs. Wake Forest / Illinois vs. Purdue (Doubles)
6 p.m. - Illinois vs. Wake Forest (Singles)


9 a.m. - Missouri vs. Purdue / Illinois vs. Wake Forest (Doubles) 10 a.m. - Purdue vs. Wake Forest (Singles) 1 p.m. - Missouri vs. Illinois (Singles)


8 a.m. - Missouri vs. Wake Forest (Singles) 11 a.m. - Illinois vs. Purdue (Singles)
