Tennis Hosts UMKC Wednesday

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Following an 18-day layoff, the No. 53 Mizzou tennis returns to the court on Wednesday, Feb. 20 as the Tigers host UMKC in the home opener at 5 p.m. at the Green Tennis Center. Admission to the match is free.

Missouri enters the matchup with a 4-1 record in dual matches this spring. The Tigers are in the midst of a three-match win streak that includes a 4-0 sweep of No. 63 Brown and 4-3 victories over Akron and No. 73 Princeton.

On an individual level, junior Cierra Gaytan-Leach is ranked 82rd nationally and boasts a perfect 7-0 singles record. Gaytan-Leach and sophomore Elisha Gabb are the No. 46 doubles team in the nation.

UMKC is 2-5 on the year, with wins over Drake (4-3) and SIU-Edwardsville (4-1).
