LOS ANGELES - The Mizzou tennis doubles pair of junior Cierra Gaytan-Leach and sophomore Elisha Gabb fell just short of advancing in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships Sunday evening in Los Angeles.
An 8-2 win over Air Force's Melissa Cecil and Hannah Drake on Sunday morning put Gaytan-Leach and Gabb just one win away from advancing to the qualifying doubles round of the Championships. However, the duo fell short on Sunday evening after an 8-2 loss to Edyta Cieplucha and Aleksandra Malyarchikova of SMU.
Gaytan-Leach and Gabb went 2-1 during the prequalifying portion of the Championships.
