Kaitlin was born in Overland Park, Kansas, and is the daughter of Louis and Stephany Dunham.
She started to play tennis when she was six years old. In juniors, she played mostly in Missouri Valley tournaments as well as the Fed Cup, U.S. National Clay Court Championships and U.S. Hardcourts. She was ranked top 100 nationally in Girls 16's, and was No. 3 in the Missouri Valley Section.
In high school, she put in numerous hours volunteering at St. Luke's South Hospital.
Her teammates will tell you she is feisty and a fighter, and they'd much rather play with her than against her.
She reached the doubles quarterfinals of the Minnesota Invitational and won her flight of the Mizzou Invitational. More importantly, Kaitlin has been an impact player for the Tigers with key wins over numerous Big 12 and national opponents. Off the court, Kaitlin enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping, reading, and going to movies. She specifically doesn't like peanut butter and honey, or messy rooms as she classifies herself as a neat freak.
Although there are many interesting things about Kaitlin, she considers the fact that she WILL go skydiving and surfing and swim with sharks before she leaves earth to be interesting things about her.
