Tiger Divers to Compete at AT&T Senior National Championships

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Three members of the Mizzou diving team are set to compete at USA Diving's AT&T Senior National Championships this week in Iowa City, Iowa. The event runs Tuesday, Aug. 13 - Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Pool on the campus of the University of Iowa.

Rising redshirt junior Loren Figueroa (Houston, Texas) will compete on both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at the event. She qualified for the Championships after winning the 1-meter at the Zone B Championships in Tallahassee, Fla., last month. Figueroa begins completion on Tuesday, Aug. 13 with 1-meter prelims in the morning and finals at 7 p.m. The women's 3-meter begins with quarterfinal action at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15 and finals at 5:30 p.m.

Clark Thomas (Olathe, Kan.), who enters his sophomore campaign in 2013-14, will dive the 1-meter at the Championships. He begins competition on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. with preliminaries. The finals session will take place at 6 p.m. Thomas qualified after placing fifth on the 1-meter at the Zone A Championships in Christianburg, Va.

Also competing at the event is rising sophomore Lauren Reedy (Rochester Hills, Mich.), who will go on the synchronized 3-meter with diving partner Danielle Hulvey. The pair content on Friday, Aug. 15 with prelims at 10 a.m. The finals session takes place on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. Reedy and Hulvey took fifth on the same event at the Zone A Championships.
