Bouchard Advances to A Final at SEC Championships

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Senior Dominique Bouchard advanced to Friday night's championship final in the 100 back to highlight day four preliminary action at the 2013 SEC Championships in College Station, Texas.

Bouchard tied for third in the 100 back in a record-breaking 52.02, which was 0.22 faster than her previous record set in December. Senior Cassie Cunningham placed ninth in 52.98 to just miss the A final and will swim in tonight's B final with sophomore Danielle Barbiea, who clocked a personal best 53.80, to finish in 13th. Also with a career best was Madison Bridges, who clocked a 54.42, and will swim in the C final.

In the 200 fly, freshman Anna Patterson took 11th-place to earn a spot in the B final. Her time of 1:58.56 was a personal best and inches her closer to the Mizzou record. Junior Lexi Spivak also posted a career high in the event with a 2:02.54, which places her ninth all-time with the Tigers.

Three Tigers earned berths into the C finals in the 100 breast this evening. Seniors Amanda Masters (1:01.59) and Rachel Ripley (1:01.95) both swam season bests, while freshman Lauren Stoeckle had a personal best 1:02.11. Stoeckle's time moved her into a tie for fourth in program history.

The finals session at day four of the SEC Championships will begin at 6 p.m.
