Tigers Conclude Day One at Tennessee Diving Invitational

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Diver Loren Figueroa placed fourth on the 3-meter springboard to highlight day one action at the Tennessee Diving Invitational Thursday at the Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

Figueroa and freshman Lauren Reedy were two of 12 divers who advanced to the finals session on Thursday. Figueroa scored 307.90 points to take fourth-place, while Reedy posted a score of 268.80 to finish in seventh-place. Both divers improved on their preliminary place, as Figueroa concluded prelims in eighth-place with 291.15 points, while Reedy was 10th with 278.65 after the morning session.

Senior Sharon Finn just missed qualifying for finals as she placed 14th in prelims with a score of 267.65. Also competing for the Tigers were sophomores Alex Skinner (225.20) and Lauren Callin (196.05).

Competition continues Friday with the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter springboard events beginning at 10:30 a.m.
