2009-10 (FRESHMAN): Earned her first two season victories over Iowa State in the 100 breast (1:04.19) and 200 breast (2:20.86) ... Also placed seventh at Big 12 Championships in the 200 breast finals (2:16.82) ... Her preliminary score in that event (2:16.31) moved her into a tie for fifth all-time at Missouri ... Part of the 200 medley relay at Championships that shattered the previous all-time best at Missouri (1:39.87).
HIGH SCHOOL: Swam for coach Tom Timpone ... Was a three-time All-American swimmer, as well as a state champion three years ... Set every record but 500 free for her high school team ... Was an Olympic trials qualifier.
PERSONAL: Rachel Ripley is the daughter of Melissa Belote Ripley and Rich Ripley... Majoring in textile and apparel management... Mother was a three-time Olympic Gold medalist in 1972.
