COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri softball team continues their fall schedule this Friday, Oct. 7, with another doubleheader at University Field. The twin-bill against St. Louis Community College and Iowa Central Community College kicks off at 2:30 p.m. CT. Admission to the games is free to the public.

The Tigers are 4-0 so far this fall and are coming off a 10-1 win over Crowder College and a 5-0 victory against Heartland Community College last Friday. Against Crowder, Mizzou scored 10 runs on 15 hits to back a strong start by Bailey Erwin. Erwin won her second game of the fall, allowing just one run on seven hits with five strikeouts. Rachel Hay led the team offensively, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Nicole Hudson and Lindsey Muller also connected on homers, while Muller, Princess Krebs, Corrin Genovese and Ashley Fleming added two hits each.

In game two, Kristin Nottelmann dominated for the second straight week, giving up just three hits in a complete game shutout while striking out 10 hitters. Every Tiger in the starting lineup got at least one hit, with Jenna Marston, Hudson and Angela Randazzo leading the way with two apiece. Kelsea Roth had a two-run double, with Marston and Krebs each driving in a run as well.

For the fall season, Marston leads all Tiger hitters with a .636 batting average (7-for-11) with three doubles, three RBIs and five runs scored. Hudson and Genovese have also had strong fall seasons, with Hudson hitting .462 (6-for-13) with six runs, one double, one triple, one home run and four RBI. Genovese is 7-for-17 for a .412 average with five runs, two triples and a double. Nottelmann has given up just four hits and two walks while striking out 25 batters and not allowing a run in 14.0 innings pitched. Opponents are hitting just .083 against her.
