COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri softball team begins week two of their fall exhibition schedule this Friday, Sept. 28. The Tigers will host a doubleheader, starting at 3:30 p.m. CT against Mineral Area College. The second game begins at approximately 5:30 p.m. against Central Methodist.

Mizzou went 2-0 last week in their first action of the fall, sweeping games against Columbia College and Highland Community College. Thomas struck out nine, didn’t issue a walk and threw just 65 pitches in seven innings. Freshman Emily Crane picked up three hits, while sophomore Angela Randazzo blasted a grand slam in the first inning.

In the second game, the Tigers outlasted Highland by a 7-3 final. Crane added three more hits to finish the day 6-for-8, while fellow freshman Sarah Moore went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBI. Randazzo added her second homer of the day, a two-run shot. Senior Lindsey Muller got the win in relief, giving up a run in two innings of work.
