Softball to Host Selection Watch Party

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 6 Missouri softball team will be hosting an NCAA Selection Show watch party this Sunday, May 15, in the Clinton Club of Mizzou Arena.  The show begins at 9 p.m. CT and airs live on ESPNU.  Media is welcome to attend the event, as head coach Ehren Earleywine and members of the Tiger softball team will be available for comment and reactions after the show concludes at 9:30.

This season will mark the fifth straight year and eighth time in nine campaigns that the Tigers have qualified for the NCAA Regional round.  Missouri is hoping to host the first round of postseason action for the third consecutive season and fifth time in program history.  Mizzou has won their last three NCAA Regionals and has advanced to the Women’s College World Series in each of the past two seasons.

Currently 43-7 on the year and 12-3 in the Big 12, Missouri can secure at least a split of the Big 12 Conference crown if they win their last three regular season games.  The Tigers face off with Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, May 12, before hosting Iowa State in a two-game set this weekend, beginning on Saturday at 2 p.m. and then concluding at Noon on Sunday.
