COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou softball team (33-10, 15-8 SEC) has been ranked seventh and eighth in the nation by the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 and USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 polls, respectively, the organizations announced on Tuesday.

The Tigers used an offensive flurry, led by senior Nicole Hudson (Webb City, Mo.) at the plate and in the circle, to win 12-8 over No. 2 Tennessee on Sunday, May 5 on Mizzou's Senior Day. The victory, in which Hudson recorded a career-best six RBI from two home runs, delivered the series win to the Tigers after the win on Saturday, May 4. The series opener, televised nationally on ESPN, saw senior Chelsea Thomas (Pleasantville, Iowa) pitch the 11th no-hitter of her career.
