COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou softball team (29-9, 13-7 SEC) has been ranked 11th in the nation by both the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 and ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 polls, the organizations announced on Tuesday.

Mizzou took a series win at then-No. 19 Kentucky on Sunday, April 28, with a solid 7-0 shutout win. Sophomore SS Corrin Genovese (East Amherst, N.Y.), sophomore 3B Angela Randazzo (Poway, Calif.) and senior catcher Jenna Marston (St. Louis, Mo.) recorded two-hit outings for the Tigers. Two-time All-American pitcher Chelsea Thomas (Pleasantville, Iowa) pitched 6.0 shutout innings in the victory, scattering three hits and two walks.

The Tigers previously claimed a nine-inning, 2-1 win over the Wildcats to open the series on Friday, April 26. Mizzou's two RBI in the game came by way of senior Nicole Hudson (Webb City, Mo.), who hit a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game at 1-1. Hudson then blasted a game-winning solo home run in the top of the ninth to lead Missouri to victory.

Mizzou is joined in the USA Today/NFCA poll by six SEC opponents: No. 2 Florida, No.4 Tennessee, No. 7 Alabama, No. 8 LSU, No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 20 Kentucky. The entire poll can be viewed here.

The Tigers reside in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll with eight fellow SEC schools: No. 2 Tennessee, No. 3 Florida, No. 7 LSU, No. 8 Alabama, No. 19 Kentucky, No. 21 Texas A&M, No. 22 Arkansas and No. 24 Georgia. The entire poll can be viewed here.
