OKLAHOMA CITY - Former Mizzou Softball standouts Nicole Hudson and Rhea Taylor have been invited to the 2014 USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp, as announced by the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) and USA Softball. The camp will be held from June 9-12 with camp invitees looking to claim one of 17 roster spots.

The two Tiger alums both look to make repeat appearances on Team USA, with Taylor vying for her fourth selection to the elite group after making the squad in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Hudson earned her first selection in 2013, shortly after wrapping up her Mizzou career in which she finished second all-time in career home runs with 46.

"As a program, we're certainly very proud of Nicole and Rhea," said head coach Ehren Earleywine. "We're wishing them both the best of luck."

Mizzou has had representation on Team USA for three-consecutive summers, beginning with the three-time All-American Taylor and former ace pitcher and three-time first team All-American Chelsea Thomas playing in 2011 and 2012.

During the five-day selection process, athletes will participate in position drills as well as simulated games and be evaluated by the Women's National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC). Following camp, athletes will depart on a three-city tour of exhibition games in which they will be further evaluated.
