Miami, Fla. - Playing their third game in two days at the Florida International University (FIU) Invitational at University Park, the No. 21 Missouri softball team blanked Texas-Arlington, 4-0, to improve to 2-1 on the season. The Tigers combined for six hits in the game, with senior power-hitter Amanda Renth (Mascoutah, Ill.) recording her 24th career home run. With the long ball, Renth moves into a three-way tie for fourth in the Missouri all-time career home runs record book.

Junior Stacy Delaney (Freeland, Mich.) threw her second complete game of the tournament, earning the win after striking out eight batters and allowing only five hits in seven innings. The right-handed pitcher moves to 1-1 on the season after suffering her first loss in a Tiger uniform Friday against No. 15 Virginia Tech.

Shortstop Lindsey Ubrun (Riverside, Calif.) continued to perform at the plate, finishing the morning game 2-for-3 with an RBI single and one run scored. Ubrun, who reached base in the fourth inning on a walk, advanced to second after Texas-Arlington pitcher Heather Fortenberry gave up back-to-back walks that awarded freshman Megan Christopher (Wright City, Mo.) first base. After hitting Missouri's next batter, sophomore Gina Schneider (Liberty, Mo.), the bases were loaded for outfielder Julie Silver (Chesterfield, Mo.). Silver hit a two RBI single that sent Ubrun and Christopher home for the first two runs of the game.

Missouri scored its third run of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning. Freshman Shana White (Columbia, Mo.) who recorded her first collegiate hit in the first inning, reached base on balls in the fifth and scored on Ubrun's single through the left side.

Named to the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List, Renth came up with Missouri's final run in the seventh inning. With two outs on the board, Renth crushed Missouri's second home run of the season.

The Tigers take on Pittsburgh in their second game of the day beginning at 2 p.m. (CT).
