Tallmadge High School: Coached by Don Duffy at Tallmadge High School, White was a member of the first-team suburban league both her sophomore (2001) and senior (2003) years. Named second team All-Ohio as a sophomore, White was first team All-Ohio as a junior (2002) and senior. With several honors to her name, White took first team Akron Beacon Journal, Plain Dealer, and Suburban Lauge honors as a senior. White was named 2003 Athlete of the Year at Tallmadge High School. She also competed in volleyball, track and gymnastics.
Personal: Amanda Jo White was born April 21, 1985, in Barberton, Ohio, to parents Shannon and Elaine White and has one sister, Megan. The only member of the team from Ohio, White is a physical therapy major.
