2008: Meredith Nash made eight starts at third base in her sophomore season with the Tigers. Taking on Big 12 opponent Texas Tech at the Lobo Invitational, Feb. 23 in Albuquerque, N.M., Nash hit a fourth inning, leadoff home run over the center field fence, scoring the 10th and final Missouri run of the game. In Missouri's second game of the season against the Red Raiders, Nash again stepped up big, finishing the day 1-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored. Missouri and Kansas went head-to-head in the annual Border Showdown and Nash helped Missouri secure its second win of the afternoon doubleheader with her two out, RBI double to left field in the bottom of the seventh. The knock gave Missouri a 6-5 win over the Jayhawks.
2007: As a freshman member of the Missouri softball team, Nash served as one of the Tigers' designated players and primary pinch runners. Entering Missouri's home game March 16 against Columbia College, Nash went 3-for-4 at the plate driving in two runs with her one out home run over the left field wall. In her next at-bat, Nash singled to center field, driving in yet another Tiger run.
Raymore Peculiar: A member of the Raymore Peculiar softball team, Nash and her teammates were crowned Missouri state champions her freshman (2003) campaign, earning conference titles her sophomore (2004), junior (2005) and senior (2006) years. In both her junior and senior seasons, Nash and the Panthers earned district titles advancing to the state quarterfinals as a senior. Led by Head Coaches Dwyla Young and Bruce Sharp, Nash played at third base and shortstop her four years of high school. Nash played one year with Randy Williams and the Kansas City Pride.
Personal: Meredith Nash is the daughter of David and Sherri Nash and was born Jan. 22, 1988, in Fort Scott, Kan. One of three children, Nash has two sisters, Adrienne Koehn (25) and Samantha Nash (19). Nash is majoring in architectural studies.
