2010: Finished the year with the seventh-most walks in a single season at Missouri. Her .676 slugging percentage in Big 12 games was the 10th highest in the league. Her first hit as a Tiger came in the opening game of the doubleheader with Arizona on Feb. 21. Against Illinois State, Lee ripped the first home run of her career to cap a 2-for-3 day at the plate. With the Tigers down 5-0 in the fourth in the conference opener vs. Oklahoma, Lee jumpstarted the offense with a three-run home run, propelling the Tigers to an 11-5 victory. From April 13-18, Lee hit .727 with two runs, seven RBI, three doubles, three walks and two stolen bases, earning her Big 12 Player of the Week honors. Matched a season-best three RBI with a two-run home run and a sacrifice fly against Central Methodist on April 22. In the opening round of regional play against Creighton, she delivered the two-run walkoff double off of the center field wall, lifting Mizzou to a 3-2 win over the Bluejays in dramatic fashion. Honors: Second Team All-Big 12, Big 12 Player of the Week.
2008-09 (Georgia State): Lee played two years for Georgia State University, where her team placed second in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in both 2008 and 2009. Individually, Lee had numerous achievements during her time at Georgia State. She was ranked fifth for career home runs, named Player and Rookie of the Year, selected for First Team All-CAA, placed fourth in the Nation with 1.15 runs batted in per game, and started all 55 games for the Panthers, while leading the league in pickoffs and throwing out runners. In 2008, Lee led her team in batting average, slugging percentage, on base percentage, runs scored, hits, runs batted in, doubles, home runs and total bases. During the 2008 GSU Spring Showdown, Lee had a three game home run streak, hitting four long balls total over the course of the run. 2009 Honors: ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III Second Team.
Eastside: A catcher for the Eastside High School Eagles, Lee was ranked in the Georgia Top 10 her sophomore and junior years, and in the Top Five during her senior year. She was awarded all-state honors in 2006, all-county her freshman, junior and senior seasons and MVP in 2007. Lee also played basketball and tennis for the Eagles.
Personal: The daughter of Gary Brown and Kay Lee was born April 19, 1989 in Atlanta, Georgia. Catherine Lee has five siblings: Lydia McMurphy (38), Leslie Brown (27), Duke Lee (25), Neal Brown (24), and twin sister Martha Lee (21). Lee is majoring in general and international studies.
