2003: Before injuring her knee against Texas A&M and ending her season on March 29, Morgan Kent held a .222 batting average with one home run, two doubles and three RBI. Playing catcher, Kent threw out seven base runners attempting to steal and was 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI against Colorado State. On March 23, against Texas Tech, Kent went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Entering Missouri, Kent was the winner of the Gary Page Scholarship.
Urbandale HS: An All-Conference selection, Kent played softball under head coaches Gary Page and Lou Yacinich and earned four high school letters. Named All-State Honorable Mention for her skills, Ken played volleyball for two seasons and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Born Aug. 8, 1983, Morgan Kent is the daughter of Mick and Jill Kent and was born in Urbandale, Iowa. Morgan has two sisters, Mallory, (18) and Allison (16) and is majoring in journalism and political science.
