2008: In her first season with the Missouri softball team, Stacy Delaney's significant time in the circle helped the Tigers to their first NCAA Regional Championship title in 14 years. Finishing the year with a 20-4 mark, Delaney recorded a team high 178 strikeouts and 2.01 ERA. Competing in Big 12 games, Delaney was a perfect 4-0. During her time in the circle, the right-handed pitcher threw 43.2 innings of league action and recorded 41 strikeouts. In addition, Delaney recorded four games in which she struck out 10 or more batters, sitting down 14 opponents in Missouri's Feb. 29 game against Boston University. On May 15, Delaney threw her 18th complete game of the season, and was credited with the 5-4 win over Iowa in the NCAA Regional finals. Delaney struck out five Hawkeyes in seven innings. For her work in the circle, Delaney was awarded All-Big 12 and All-Midwest Region accolades. Delaney made 37 appearances throughout the course of the campaign and started in 29 games, hurling nine solo shutouts. Entering in relief, Delaney was credited with two saves. Delaney stood third in the Big 12 with nine solo shutouts, fourth in wins and fifth in strikeouts. Honors: All-Midwest Region Second Team, All-Big 12 Second Team.

University of Michigan (2005-07): During her two years at Michigan, Delaney, under leadership of Head Coach Carol Hutchins, was a member of a Wolverine team that twice made it to NCAA Super Regionals. As a freshman, Delaney helped Michigan to a Big Ten Conference title and saw the Wolverines finish 10th at the end of the season. In Delaney's sophomore campaign (2007), the Wolverine's again finished 10th in the nation, advancing as far as the NCAA Super Regional Tournament.

Freeland: Coached by Dan Behulander, Delaney was a two-time Division Three State Champion with the Freeland High School Falcons. A four year letterman, Delaney received all state first team honors her sophomore (2003), junior (2004) and senior (2005) years and was named Miss Softball Pitcher her senior year (2005). Delaney was also a member of her high school volleyball and basketball teams.

Personal: Stacy Delaney was born Oct. 11, 1986, to Gary and Susan Delaney in Saginaw, Mich. Delaney has two sisters, Kelly (25) and Kari (20) and is majoring in general studies with an emphasis in education.
