The University of Missouri women's soccer team held their annual team banquet on Saturday, Feb. 6, celebrating the 2009 fall season and the seven seniors on the squad.
The University of Missouri soccer team announced their 2010 recruiting class Wednesday, receiving National Letters of Intent from six student-athletes. The incoming freshman class consists of three players from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, in Alyssa Diggs and club teammates Danielle Nottingham and McKenzie Sauerwein. The trio will be joined in Tiger uniforms by Dominique Richardson (California), Molly Bear (Arizona) and Alex Charlebois (Ontario, Canada).
Former Missouri soccer player Kat Tarr has accepted a contract offer from Tennis Borussia Berlin to play professionally in Germany this season. The Vancouver, Wash., native starred for the Tigers from 2005-2008 before being drafted by the Chicago Red Stars in the 2009 WPS draft and playing for the W-League's Buffalo Flash last season.
The University of Missouri women's soccer team received recognition for their 2009 season on Saturday, with a ceremony at halftime of the Missouri men's basketball team's 87-36 victory at Mizzou Arena.
Senior Kristin Andrighetto will participate in the 2009 Chicago Red Stars combine, accepting an invitation from the Women's Professional Soccer team to tryout on December 10th and 11th at the MAX Indoor Soccer Center in McCook, Ill.
