Columbia, Mo. - After the Tigers advanced in the NCAA Championship, mutigers.com caught up with Mizzou freshman Krista Kruse to get her thoughts about the exciting post-season action.

How did it feel to play in front of the many supportive Tiger fans at Walton Stadium Friday night in such a big game?

It was great. I was so pleased that we got to host the first two games of the tournament.

All of Mizzou's field players get a chance to make an impact every game, including yourself. I'm sure you weren't counting, but you played 86 minutes Friday night. How does it feel to be helping the Tigers as a freshman?

I am so honored to be a part of this team. I feel like every single person on the team contributes. Getting to play with the talented upperclassmen can only make me a stronger player in the future.

Watching you play, it seems like you are very physical with little regard to possible injuries. Is that something, as a midfielder, that you take pride in?

Playing at the Big 12, Division I level, you have to give it your all. Our team motto is, "Do Work," and I feel like every position on the team is coached to give 100%.

What are your thoughts about Sunday's game against USC?

I think our team can beat anyone on any given day, I am excited. Bring 'em on!

Looking around the tournament, all five Big 12 teams in the Championship advanced to the second round. How much does playing in such a strong conference help during the post-season?

It does help having such a strong conference because you have to come ready to play every game.
