COLUMBIA, Mo. - Senior goalkeeper Tasha Dittamore was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Dittamore is coming off an impressive home stand, in which she helped the Tigers secure victories over Big 12 leading Colorado and Texas Tech.

Dittamore made two stops in Missouri's dramatic 1-0 overtime victory against Colorado last Friday, preserving the clean sheet and becoming the school's all-time leader in career shutouts with 15. Against Texas Tech last Sunday, Dittamore made a slew of great saves early on, tipping a Katie Hinds shot just over the crossbar and diving at a Taylor Lytle run in the Missouri box.

The weekly award is the second of the season for Dittamore, and the fourth overall in her career at Missouri. Dittamore currently ranks second in the Big 12 in saves with 61, and third in saves per game with 4.07.

Dittamore will lead the Missouri defense in this weekend's road trip, when the Tigers square off against Baylor on Friday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. and Oklahoma on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m.
