Columbia, Mo. - University of Missouri women's soccer player Lindsay McCoy was selected to the TopDrawer Soccer Women's College Team of the Week for the week of Oct. 1-7. It is the Blue Springs, Mo., native's first career selection to any national team of the week.

The junior defender has started all 11 games for the Tigers, including the shutout win against Texas Tech (Oct. 5). She saved a golden Tech opportunity in the 68th minute of Friday's game, as Tech's Priscilla Esquivel took a shot on an open net. Forst had left the picture, but McCoy stepped in and saved it, preserving the Tiger lead. She played all 90 minutes, helping the Tigers earn their fourth shutout of the season.

This is Mizzou's second TopDrawer honor of the season, as forward Michelle Collins was selected to the national team for her performance in the first week of the season.

McCoy will hope to keep the opponents' scoring to a minimum in Mizzou's home contests this weekend, as the fifth-ranked Tigers host Oklahoma Friday (Oct. 12) at 6:30 and Oklahoma State at 1 on Sunday (Oct. 14).
