COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri junior Alyssa Diggs was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week following a two-goal output against Kentucky on Friday, the league office announced on Monday.

A native of Coppell, Texas, Diggs helped the Tigers to wins over Kentucky (2-1 in overtime) and Mississippi State (2-0) last weekend. Against the Wildcats on Friday, the junior put Mizzou on top with her first goal of the evening in the 31st minute, then scored the game-winning goal 7:45 into the overtime session to give the Tigers the victory. The goals were the fifth and sixth of the season for Diggs, who is tied for the team lead in that category.

Diggs currently ranks third in the SEC in goals per game (0.60), tied for third in points per game (1.20) and is tied for seventh in total goals (six). She ranks third on the team with 12 total points despite missing four games earlier in the season due to injury.

She is the third Tiger to earn SEC weekly honors so far this season, joining freshmen Lauren Flynn and Candace Johnson, who were both SEC Freshman of the Week honorees.

Mizzou hits the road this weekend for a pair of SEC games. The squad takes on No. 17 Florida on Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT), followed by a Noon CT contest against Alabama on Sunday, Oct. 14. The Tigers' game against Florida will be televised live on SUN Sports.
