COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri Soccer team will travel to Wylie, Texas, on Saturday, April 21 to play 2006 NCAA runnerup Notre Dame in the Panda Cup Tournament at 7 p.m. at Pirate Stadium. The two squads will square off in the marquee game

The Panda Cup is an international soccer event featuring professional, collegiate and competitive female soccer teams with games scheduled in various venues. The games are not about championships, egos or negative competition; they are about forming relationships, education, culture and sharing the passion for the sport of soccer.

The main draw of the event will be four games to be played on Saturday, April 21, at Pirate Stadium, concluding in Mizzou's matchup with the Irish.

Along with the games at Pirate Stadium, Panda Cup officials are organizing a soccer clinic for the Texas Special Olympics and Wylie Youth Soccer Association that will feature instruction from the visiting coaches and players. The clinic will take place in Founders Park as teams from the Youth Soccer Association play their regular season games.

With players of all ages and skills of all levels on display, Wylie will be home to a true soccer festival. As part of the day's festivities, there will also be a procession of flags and post-event fireworks show.
