Tigers Score Spring Victory

Feb. 28, 2012

The Missouri Tiger Soccer scored 3 goals in each half to pull away from the University of Central Missouri in a spring scrimmage.

The Tigers used five different goal scores to take down the Jennies, who came in for a friendly spring game with Mizzou. Alyssa Diggs, Danielle Nottingham, and Kaysie Clark scored for the Tigers in the first half, followed in the second half with goals from Lauren Flynn, Nottingham again, and Taiwo Adeshigbin.

The Tigers defense used a variety of defenders and both goalkeepers, McKenzie Sauerwein and Mariah McClain, to take on the Jennies. Central scored in the middle of the second half to notch their only goal of the game.

The Tigers continue with their spring schedule next Sunday against Colorado College at Swope Park in Kansas City. Track the Tigers during the off-season or anytime follow them on Twitter (www.twitter.com/mizzousoccer) or on Facebook (www.facebook.com/mizzousoccer).
