Feb. 11, 2014

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Soccer student-athlete Alyssa Diggs was one of 39 University of Missouri seniors chosen to the 2014 class of Mizzou '39 on Monday, Feb. 10. The award program, created by the Mizzou Alumni Association in 2005, honors students in the spirit of service that was the cornerstone of the founding of the University in 1839.

Diggs and the rest of the class were chosen for their academic achievement, leadership and service to Mizzou and the community. The honorees represent a variety of majors, activities and organizations from across campus.

Each member also recognizes a faculty or staff member who advised and guided them throughout their college career. Diggs chose Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development Kim Lambert.

Over her four-year Tiger career, the Coppell, Texas, native was a two-time all-conference first team selection after earning the honors in 2012 in the SEC and 2011 in the Big 12 Conference. She earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South Region third team and Capital One Academic All-District 6 first team honors in 2012 and 2013. Diggs concluded her Tiger career with 46 career points on 17 goals and 12 assists in 77 games.
