Tigers Begin Offseason Helping the Community

Jan. 20, 2012

The Missouri Tigers soccer team took time out of their off-season to give back to the Mid-Missouri community. Many of the Tigers took time out of their schedules and volunteered at The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri to help sort foodstuffs.

"It was a great experience and great team bonding," junior Kelsey Mulchay said, "It was nice to give back to the community and wonderful knowing our work went to a good cause."

The soccer team takes pride in the service projects they participate in during the season and off-season.

"As a team we think it's important to take time and give back to the community that supports us." Mulcahy said. "We are so fortunate for the opportunity to play college soccer and at the same time get a great education from Mizzou.
