CAMPINAS, Brazil - The No. 10 University of Missouri women's soccer team earned a pair of 1-0 victories on Saturday in its first set of matches while on a 10-day mission trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Both games were played at Estadio Municipal Alfredo Chiavegato against Jaguariúna and Guarani, both local women's club teams.

In the 2 p.m. match, freshman Jessie Crabtree scored the game's only goal minutes before the final whistle with a right-footed shot that went just under the crossbar. The goal, assisted by freshman Candace Ruff, was one of many scoring opportunities for the Tigers' offense in the contest. Senior goalkeeper Mallory Forst played all 60 minutes in goal for the shutout.

Immediately following the opener, Missouri completed a successful sweep in the doubleheader thanks to a second half goal by freshman Liz Gayer. The Columbia, Mo., native received a cross from freshman Kendra Collins and cut inside before powering a shot off the far crossbar and into the net. Junior goalkeeper Tasha Dittamore made several saves in preserving the clean sheet for the Missouri defense.

Fans who would like to see highlights of the day's action and follow the team's journey are encouraged to visit or for access to a photo gallery, player blog, and video podcasts, all of which are being updated throughout the trip.
