Tigers Fall to Baylor on the Road

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri soccer team fell 3-1 to the Baylor Bears Friday night in Waco, Texas. The loss dropped Mizzou's record to 10-6 overall and 1-4 in Big 12 play, while Baylor improved to 12-2-2 and 4-1.

Baylor struck first in the second minute and added another goal in the 10th minute to take a 2-0 advantage at the half.

Sophomore Danielle Nottingham got the Tigers on the board in the 51st minute when she converted a corner kick to cut MU's deficit to 2-1. The goal was the fourth of the season for Nottingham, who is now tied for the team lead with 11 points.

The Bears responded four minutes later to make it a 3-1 game, the eventual final score.

The Tigers travel to Norman, Okla., Sunday to take on the Oklahoma Sooners in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPNU, which marks the fourth consecutive year the Tigers will play on the network.
