"We wanted to recover and really show our heart today and I think we did that," Head Coach Bryan Blitz said.

Another physical match up for the Tigers, Oklahoma tallied 11 fouls to Missouri's eight, but Mizzou came out strong on all sides of the field. Goalkeeper Jess Gwin recorded six saves on the day, and the Tigers outshot Oklahoma 23-11.

Sooner Kelsey Kraft scored the first goal of the game in the 43rd minute of play. It wasn't until the 85th minute when Alysha Bonnick tied up the score with a left-footed shot from freshman Alex Charlebois who sent a throughball up to Bonnick after powering past the Oklahoma defense.

Two minutes later Bonnick netted a header off of a corner kick taken by Freshman Danielle Nottingham. The corner was Nottingham's first of the season, and she has recorded three assists. Bonnick leads the team with seven goals on the season, and 37 in her career. As of now Bonnick is the third-most prolific scorer in program history behind Kristin Andrighetto (38) and Nikki Thole (61).

Missouri will hit the practice field this week to prepare for another road trip. Mizzou faces Colorado on Friday at 4 p.m. M.T. in Boulder. On Sunday the Tigers head to Lincoln, Neb. to match up against Nebraska at 1 p.m. Follow Mizzou Soccer on any of the team's social media sites including Facebook, Vimeo, Twitter and, of course, mutigers.com.
