Columbia, Mo.--The Tigers fell to Wisconsin-Milwaukee 3-2 today at a soggy Walton Stadium. Rain early in the game made for wet field conditions in Columbia, but didn't stop the Tigers from coming out strong against the Panthers.

Sarah Thune netted the first goal for the Tigers, bending a long-range shot from 25-yards out in the 31st minute. Thune's goal gave Mizzou a 1-0 lead until Milwaukee's Makenzie Gillaspie tied the score for the Panthers. Thune has five shots on the season.

Much of the play took place in the midfield, with both teams battling for control. Missouri outshot the Panthers 9-5 with five corner kicks to Milwaukee's one.

Hot on the weekend, midfielder Haley Krentz scored her second goal of the season, and of the weekend. After scoring the game-winner against Loyola, Krentz came out and put another one on the board for the Tigers in the second half. Krentz capitalized off a header coming out of the box after a Missouri corner kick. The ball sailed over the Panther keeper from just outside the 18, bringing the score to 3-2 still for the Panthers.

The Tigers begin conference play next weekend when rival Kansas comes to town. Mizzou hosts the Jayhawks at Walton Stadium at 6:30 p.m. next Friday. Fans can keep up with the Tigers on any of the team's social media sites, Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo and, of course, mutigers.com.
