Senior team captain Mandy Waters looks to fill a new role on the Tiger squad this season … has amazing speed and agility … couples as both a defensive force and offensive threat.
Junior (2000): Returned from an injury the year before as one of the top defenders for the Tigers … led the Missouri defense in holding opponents to only 36 goals on the season … also helped offensively by recording two assists for MU ... was a second team academic All-Big 12 team selection ... was chosen for the MU Kickers Club Leadership Award.
Sophomore (1999): Served as team captain leading MU with her tremendous work ethic and inspired play ... season was cut short due to an ACL tear in a 5-1 loss to Purdue on October 29 ... strong defender and last line of defense between opponent and MU goalie ... assisted on one of Missouri's four goals in a 4-0 shutout of Kansas, the first assist of her career.
1998: Redshirted the season due to knee injury.
Freshman (1997): Played in the midfield for nearly all of the season ... played in 19 games starting in 16 ... finished the season with two goals and four points... scored first collegiate goal at Texas Tech on Sept. 14.
Prep: NSCAA/Umbro High School All-American in 1996 and '97 at Blue Valley High School (Kan.)... Parade All-American in '97 ... all-Midwest, all-metro and all-state in 1996 and '97 ... leading scorer in Kansas in 1996 ... led J.B. Marine Club team to the Region II championship in 1997.
