Prep: Thornton accumulated 57 goals and 33 assists in three seasons for Los Angeles Baptist High School despite missing her senior season due to an ACL tear... named to the All-California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) third team as a sophomore and junior... also earned all-league first team honors her freshman, sophomore and junior years... helped lead her team to the CIF playoffs in 2002, 2003 and 2004 ... named team MVP after her junior season... helped the Southern California Blues to the Coast League Cup Championship in 2004... played on the Olympic Development Program California South State Team in 2004... four year Honor Roll student... choose Mizzou over UC Santa Barbara, Washington State, Boston University and Denver.
