The University of Missouri women's soccer team (12-5-3, 7-1-2) suffered their first loss of conference play in their regular season finale on Friday, dropping a 3-2 decision on the road against rival Kansas (12-7-1, 4-6-0). The defeat snaps a 10-game unbeaten streak as the Tigers now enter postseason play as the No. 1 seed in next week's Big 12 Tournament, courtesy of their finish atop the Big 12 regular season standings.

Tiger senior midfielder Bree Thornton (Lake View Terrace, Calif.) was selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 7 Division's second team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. The award is the first Academic All-District honor of Thornton's career.

After wins over Iowa State and Nebraska to round out their regular season home schedule, the Big 12 Champion University of Missouri women's soccer team (12-4-3, 7-0-2) will look to end the regular season on a high note at Kansas (11-7-1, 3-6-0). The two teams will square off on Friday, Oct. 30, at 3 p.m.

After a weekend in which the University of Missouri women's soccer team clinched the Big 12 regular season title and outscored its opponents 8-2, the Tigers swept the Big 12 weekly awards, the conference announced Tuesday. Senior Kristin Andrighetto was awarded the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, Senior Tasha Dittamore was awarded the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, and freshman Kellie Gavigan was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.
