Hannah Finnegan Joins Mizzou Gymnastics Program

Columbia, Mo. - The Mizzou Gymnastics program and head coach Shannon Welker announce the addition of Hannah Finnegan to the 2013-14 Tiger squad. Finnegan will come to Mizzou from Kansas City, Mo. where she trained at GAGE and Xtreme Gymnastics.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Finnegan began her gymnastics career at St. Louis Gymnastics Centre before moving to Kansas City and training at Xtreme Gymnastics in 2010. Finnegan began competing Level 10 in 2011. She earned a third place finish on vault at the AOGC Invitational before taking the vault, beam and All-Around titles at the Missouri State Championship. Finnegan was also selected to represent the Philippines at the South East Asia Games in the fall of 2011.

Finnegan is also a 2011 Junior Olympic National Invitational Tournament qualifier and she took first on vault at the 2012 Level 10 Missouri State Championship. She took third on floor at the state meet as well. In the 2013 season, Finnegan also took home a fourth place finish on vault at the City of Lights Invitational.

Finnegan will join the Tigers for the upcoming 2014 gymnastics season. With the start of the academic year, the Tiger gymnasts will return to Columbia, Mo. this weekend and look forward to the official start of practice later this fall.
