Tigers Move up In National Polls

COLUMBIA, Mo. -Mizzou Gymnastics has moved up two spots to No. 16 in the GymInfo National Top 25 Rankings this week. The improvement comes after the Tigers competed among the nation's best at the IGI/ChicagoStyle Invite. The Tigers placed third at the meet with a team score of 195.525.

The Tigers have a season average of 195.017 after earning a team high score of 195.925 against NC State. Missouri is 6-2 on the season so far.

The Tigers are also ranked No. 17 in the nation on vault with a 48.946 season average. The team holds the No. 19 spot on uneven bars with a season average of 48.708. Mizzou is ranked at No. 15 on the beam and No. 23 on the floor as well.

Also in the national spotlight, Rachel Updike comes in at No. 28 in the nation on the vault with a season average of 9.867. Updike also sits at no. 32 on the balance beam and no. 28 on floor. Seniors Mary Burke and Allie Heizelman are ranked 28th and 30th in the nation on the bars, respectively. Burke is also ranked at No. 29 in the nation for her all-around performances this season as she averages an all-around score of 39.100.
